POMARIA LEARNING HUB WORKSHOP - DISCOVERY EVENING

Introducing our 'PLH' Facilitator Coaches for this evenings
Hands-on Learning Workshop for Whanau

Malina Iosua, Perenise Laung-Hing, Inori Semau
These awesome learners will be facilitating a workshop where whanau can learn how to access, use and navigate (move from place to place) on our Pomaria Learning Hub.
The workshop arose from a NEED shared by  parents at a earlier Literacy Workshop facilitated by Mrs Aiavao in Term 1.
Parents WANTED to LEARN how to use the INTERNET to FIND, USE our Pomaria Website, Pomaria Facebook Page and Classroom Blogs.
So......
Come a long to tonights DISCOVERY EVENING
between 6 - 7.30pm

to LEARN WITH US!

THE TEAM PLANNING/MAPPING OUT THEIR PROCESS AND PRODUCT!

LOTS OF THINKING, RETHINKING...
PROCESS:  Putting a plan in place: WWWWWH?

Mmmmmm... Who, what, why, when, where, how?

PRODUCT:  Takeaway for parents - Bookmark or handout?

This way?  That way?  Which way?  What information will be most useful to our whanau?

Now to to glue it all together...
After a lot of developing, changing and refining this is our
final product..

We went with a handy-handout - A book mark was too small for whanau to read.

The AWESOME team!

We hope you enjoyed learning with us!

Please give us some feedback about our Workshop.
So...

PLUS:  What did you like about about our workshop?
MINUSES:  What might we improve next time?
INTERESTING:  What was something new you learnt or discovered today?
What questions might you have?
Would you like future Technology Workshops?  What kind?

Sorya and his beautiful mum

Thank you to Sorya's beautiful mum for bringing him to share his learning in Shining Stars.

Sorya wants to be a doctor or nurse, and get his drivers licence one day.

Sorya is proud of what he has achieved in his levels and stages and mum is so happy too and proud.

Mum wants to learn English with Sorya, so we thought our school library is a great place to learn.  It's open MONDAY's and THURSDAY'S 3 -4pm.

Next week, Sorya is going to take mum to the library on Monday and Thursday afternoons, to learn together on Sunshine Online, Studdy Ladder and his class blogs.

How AWESOME IS THAT - Mum and Son Learning together.
