HIBISCUS RANDOM INQUIRY

Alex brought a long a picture he drew of a hibiscus flower.

' This is from my Samoan Culture.  You see these flowers in Samoa.  I have these flowers on a pillow at home'.

Alex's friends in Team 2 were so interested that they wanted to inquire more.. more.. more..

So it was off to the computers we went,  a mini inquiry it was...

We used google search to find images and information.

What did we discover????

There are so many different coloured hibiscus.

'They are so pretty' - Divya

 WOW we didn't know that....

The flower petals can be dried and then put into hot water to make Hibiscus tea.

They have funny look stuff in the middle.  It looks ticklish and like a powder.  It's called pollen or nectar and bees drink it.

Hibiscus flowers are used to decorate pillows and sheets.

Do these grow in our country?

How many different kinds are there?
