The Gruffalo
Narrative -
Retell
One day there was a teeny tiny mouse. He was walking around the forest and the fox
came and he said, “Come and have lunch in my underground house.”
The mouse said, “I’m going to have lunch
with a gruffalo.”
The fox ran off to his underground house
and the mouse said, “Goodbye.” And off he went.
The owl said, “Come and have lunch in my
tree house”. The mouse said, “I’m going
to have lunch with a gruffalo,” and the mouse went.
The mouse was walking around the forest and
the snake came and said, “Come and have lunch in my underwood house.” The mouse said, “I’m going to have lunch with
a gruffalo.” “A gruffalo?” said the ssssnake.
The mouse went and he said, “Goodbye.”
The mouse saw the Gruffalo. “Oh no
help,” said the little teeny tiny
mouse. “The Gruffalo is going to eat
me,” said the teeny tiny mouse. And off they went to the snake’s underwood
house. The snake was scared.
After the teeny tiny mouse said, “Let’s
go,” to the owl, and off they went.
The owl was scared and the owl said,
“Goodbye.”
Off they went to the fox’s underground
house. The fox was scared and the fox
said, “Goodbye.”
The mouse said, “I’m going to eat the
gruffalo for my lunch.” The Gruffalo was
scared and the gruffalo ran home like a big baby!
